My friends daughters name is Jenica, I think that is very pretty. I looked through the others that were posted and I didn't see that one. Also her sisters name is Jenalyn, I can't remember if I saw that one in anyones answers. Both names I think are very pretty, not weird but unique. Having a "unique" name doesn't make your child automatically unique. sometimes an overly unique name backfires. i've known several people with unique names that absolutely hate them, 2 that have changed their names to something more suitable for their professional careers, and many that just resent the idea of needing a ridiculous name to be 'unique'.

the whole idea of a unique name isn't a unique concept, so it's a pretty moot attempt from the get-go.

try for something rare instead of something "unique". a rare name is based in true origin, and name etymology. rare names that are old classics are nice, and many people are using old classics to sound fresh and updated in today's overly unique and cr8tivlee spelled yoo-neek world of horrid names. Many things need to be considered in naming a baby - especially the last name and how the first name flows with the last name. One rule of thumb is that if you have a long last name (4 syllables or more) you should keep the first name to just a couple of syllables - for example Chloe Wanamaker. Do something fun and go buy a baby book (there's one that says its the most complete ever) highlight all the names you like and then go back through adn see which ones really speak to you and go well with what the child's full name will be.
