Does anyone have any ideas for unique baby names for boys or girls? Two which I like are Oriana (girl) and Taro (boy) but I can't find any others that I really like!
Any ideas would be great thanks!!Any ideas for unique baby names?
Girls: Dakota, Indie/India, Skye, Raine, Cassia, Kersha
Boys: River, Jax, Blaise, Jaxon, Stewie
Try by looking into your / your partners heritage! Many great and meaningful names can come out of traditional names or words in the language or culture of your ancestry.
Example : You or your partner's background is French : you could look into traditional French names such as 脡tienne (Steven), Marc, or Th茅r猫se, or you could find words that are meaningful to you, have them translated (accurately!) into French, and see if they appeal to you as potential names. Words like "hope" or "beauty" become "Espoir", and "Belle"
Try this with any language / culture of your choosing, and you are sure to find some very unique and special names for your new baby.Any ideas for unique baby names?

Why don't you go for a totally Irish name - one which is unpronouncable to other people. they may not be rare or that unique but always are the subject of conversation.
Grainne
Podraig
Sorcha
to name a few. I love Irish names and if I had a daughter then she would have been Niamh. My husband is Irish and he is Aidan which is never spelt correctly and he is called Adrian, Ian, Aidian, Hayden and just answers to anything now.
you can make up a name by taking the first or first two letters of people close to you. like say your best girl friends are samantha, rita and laura, you could name the child sarila, or laurisa.
my friend's family named their baby boy leo, because the older children were called lisa, ole and erica.
