Having a "unique" name doesn't make your child automatically unique. sometimes an overly unique name backfires. i've known several people with unique names that absolutely hate them, 2 that have changed their names to something more suitable for their professional careers, and many that just resent the idea of needing a ridiculous name to be 'unique'.

the whole idea of a unique name isn't a unique concept, so it's a pretty moot attempt from the get-go.

try for something rare instead of something "unique". a rare name is based in true origin, and name etymology. rare names that are old classics are nice, and many people are using old classics to sound fresh and updated in today's overly unique and cr8tivlee spelled yoo-neek world of horrid names. What truly makes your child unique is their own little personality. Trust me every child is unique in their own way, and as a mother...i'd rather my child be unique in their personality, talents, opinions, accomplishments, and feelings than a name. A name doesn't define you, don't try to find a name to define a child that has yet to develop his/her own natural uniqueness.
